Apply the safety features on the medicines’ packs.
MAH & PIAH
Connect to the European Hub via the OBP (On-Boarding Partner) and ensure that the information related to medicines with unique identifiers is uploaded to the European Hub.
EU HUB
Central information and data router
NMVS
Connected to the EU Hub, it allows the verification of the authenticity and the identification of an individual medicines’ package, as well as the decommissioning of the unique identifier on that package, at any point in the legal supply chain.
Wholesalers
Have the obligation to verify the authenticity of the unique identifier.
Pharmacies and Hospitals
Have the obligation to verify the safety features and to decommission the unique identifier when supplying the medicine to the patient.
Patients
Safe access to non-falsified medicines.
