Within the legal distribution chain, the hospitals verify the safety features – the unique identifier and the anti-tempering device – and decommission the unique identifier when supplying the medicine to the patient.
NOTE: Connecting your company/organization to the NMVS will be done through your software provider and through validation and registration procedures which fall under OSMR responsibility.
RECOMMENDATION: In order to connect to the National Medicines Verification System (NMVS), kindly ask the software providers to use the V5 version of the interface with the system. The V4 version will be disconnected within 2024.

Terms and Conditions – Operational Phase
Starting with February 9th, 2019, according to the Delegated Regulation, the National Medicines Verification System will access the operational phase.
Please find below the new terms and conditions document that will come into force at the specified moment, approved by the OSMR Board and including the mutual obligations between OSMR and the involved parties.
